+ FIXED: Display bug on PlanetWnd when the descriptions of the tiles wouldn't change from planet to planet

Re-Re_Thanks for this soooo precious fix.

And for all of the above "fine-tunings" that can only enhance the gameplay balances introduced by plenty of other tweaks to specific features.

+ TWEAK: Completely removed Orbital Fleet Manager [English version]

Its completely gone now? And here I was starting to enjoy that +25% orbiting ship HP bonus, and +50% planet defense bonus it gave in v2.01 .

Oh well. I'll try things out tomorrow and let you know what I think. See you then.

It wasn't orbiting hp...look at the XML code or actually try it ingame; it was a built hp bonus.

His poor family.

"Brad, the turkey is getting cold"

"Not now honey, the Drengin just have invaded my homeworld"

Keep up the great work

Ooops... whatever was altered at code level to fix this issue didn't work in the fresh update i made last evening. So, carielf, i guess you'll to have to dig into it a little deeper before calling it *Solved* for good!

This is the reason for GCs and Stardocks success. The devs play and love/care for their game.

Go Froggy!

Thanks again for work above and beyond the call of duty

on Dec 04, 2008

I hardly ever post here, but thanks for doing all these updates.  They're substansive, enrich the game, and make me a lot more likely to buy Stardock games in the future.  I like Impulse too.  Have a good holiday.  Try not to work too hard.

Kudos to Frogboy, David, Carielf and the rest of the Stardock Team for all the hard work, patience, and efforts you put into your games.

Thanks again

This is why I will be buying Elemental. It's not necessarily my type of game, and I don't really need more games to take up my time, but with the kind of support Stardock has proven to lend I'm sure it will be a fine work of art.

For the same reason, but on the other end of the scale, I'm not buying C&C3:RA. I'm a die-hard C&C guy, born and raised on the line from the beginning way back with Dune 2. But EA wont get my money because they don't mind leaving games unfinished.

I'm glad there is a trendsetter for the good guys. Rock on Stardock!

Thanks for the updates, I was getting worried but this has shown I never need to worry about updates not reaching the EU again.

It wasn't orbiting hp...look at the XML code or actually try it ingame; it was a built hp bonus.

I restored ver 2.01 from archive to check. It does appear to be the case. If it was orbiting HP, I could see those planet improvements being quite useful.

If its any significance, I was playing the Arceans in one those games I did play. My "Stellar Forge" was built on my factory capital and was responsible for the production of a large number of my ships. As such a extra ships with extra HP wouldn't be noticed. That, and my habit of hunting down HP bonus techs, using HP boosters, and ensuring that my ships survive battles would make it difficult to locate any wierd ships had I been paying attention to such an insignificant detail.

Anyways, with all the time I need to spend into university lately, I haven't been able to spend much time to play. As such, I don't know when this issue had poped up, but I seem to have noticed that certian research planet improvements share images with other planet improvements. The list of what I've noticed is as follows:

  • Research Center -> Interstellar Refinery (Iconian)
  • Research Acadamy -> Dark Energy Research Lab (Drath/Altarian, see "Dark Energy Research")
  • Invention Matrix -> Omega Research Center (see "Discovery Sphere" tech)

I have read the Patchlog for 2.02. There are some Points, which are not Added in the EU (Endless Universe) Version or have Problems with it.

1. Some Buildingdescriptions and Buildings which you can build on the Planets are completely in english (like the Recruting Center for Alterians [in 1.98 the Recruting Center Description was in German], the Orbital Command Centre). That Prob could be in other Races too, but I have not tested it.

2. The Resourcesdescription (like Morale, Research for Miningbases) are completely in Englisch too.

3. The Texts (like Rebellion on Planets, find Ruins on Planets and so on) with the 3 Answers you can use are in english too.

4. In the Main- Options- and New Gamemenü are some Tiles not in German (like the 2 Planetsettings).

5. The 2 Texts for Dreadlords and Dark Avatar Campains are completely in Englisch (Twilight of Arnor).

6. Some Shipdesigns which are normal programmed have no Descriptiontexts (found by Alterian Race). There could be the same Problem by other Races.

7. The Description for DA and ToA are now in English, when you klick/start on the Symbol on Desktop.

8. Please Check the Fix with the Translation Errors and tech descriptions for the Terrans. The Text is in German, thats right. But there is a litte Prob with the German ä,ü,ö and ß. In the other Descriptions with other Races are no Probs with that.

These are the Points I found while playing the 2.02 Patch for the Endless Universe Pack. Please Chance that Points so that the Text on the Package for EU, which says full German is realy full German.

Endless universe player here, too, and I would like to say "THANK YOU" Stardock for taking the time to fix any little bugs that seem to have remained in the game.
