We are very excited to finally release the Twilight of the Arnor beta! Not all of the final features are included in this beta, so that we can focus on testing specific features. To that end, please do not use mods while beta testing, as we don't want to beta test the mods at this point.

Please post bug reports in the Beta Reports section of the forums. For further instructions on submitting reports, please see
this thread:

https://forums.galciv2.com/?forumid=421&aid=166398

Features included in this build:

+ Terran, Drengin, and Arcean tech-trees now specific to their race

+ All other races disabled for Beta 1

+ New Improvement graphics for existing improvements

+ New Race Specific Improvements added

+ New Race Specific Planet Textures made

+ Planet Textures no longer generated...use pre-made textures (only 5 textures for Beta 1)

+ 'Twilight' Title Screen, new Twilight theme music, and updated user-interface graphics

+ Tech-Tree Screen now shows icons for Improvements and Abilities gained from each Tech

+ Special Ship Components Added to assist Fleets and Individual Ships (Stellar Defenders, Hull Points, Fire Coordinator, Warp Bubble Projector, etc.)

+ Immense Galaxies

+ Metaverse disabled for this beta

Since we're supposed to post bug reports in the public forum anyway, I guess that posting AARs and such is also ok? Never been part of a beta before, so I just want to be clear on that.

Great job on the beta by the way, I've rarely been this excited about a new game.

Yes, you can post AARs and make all the people who didn't pre-order jealous.

There's no NDA on this public beta, so feel free to discuss as you like.

I preordered like months ago, and I get an option to purchase it on Stardock Central instead of download the beta? What are you supposed to do to get this beta?

Who do you contact to confirm that you preordered?? I am POSITIVE I pre-ordered (but it is also possible I am lossing my mind and I didn't quite do all the steps to preorder)

Check your email, that's where you will get the serial to register TA in Stardock Central. Once that's done, you'll be able to download it from there.

Also note that not all preorders are processed yet. It may take some time to get the email.

I just refreshed SDC and it went from purchase to install. Downloading it now

I've had to do the following for DA, and now for TA:

In Stardock Central:
Tools-->Settings...--->Lookup serial number

That got me my serial, which I added to the serial field in the Games menu also in the settings (selecting TA from the list).
